Frogs
Frogs are one of the most most amazing creatures . The male fertilises the eggs by going on top of the female. The female lays many eggs as most of the tadpoles are eaten by other fishes and insects.
Seahorses
Seahorses are one of the few animals that live in water and protect their young. The father holds the baby seahorses in a pouch near his belly. The seahorses stay in the pouch until they are old enough to survive by themselves.
Polar Bears
Polar bears are the only bear that can swim in the ocean and climb up floating pieces of ice smaller than itself. Actually, polar bears can live in such cold weather because they have a thick coating of fur and a lot of fat called blubber. They burn off this vast amount of fat in their bodies during winter. This is because they still move around from time to time to eat fish and seal, all their favourite food.
Orang Utan
Orang Utans are very good at imitating people. They can slap their keeper with just a few demonstrations and hold a gun with its finger at the trigger. In the wild, Orang Utans can climb up tall trees as they need to pick the fruits. They can even swing on vines and branches. Recently, an Orang Utan named Ah Meng passed away at the age of 48. She was an icon of the Singapore Zoo.
